I congratulate my Pashtuns brothers for getting their name as KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA. I am really happy as proud Afridi having the same roots as Khatir Afridi of Khyber that our important old historic name KHYBER has also been included in the name. I would like to thank Nawaz Sharif for reminding our Pashtun leadership about our old history, and roots by suggesting the name KHYBER. It will go down as an important event in the history books, as the Pashtuns on the one side of the artificial border commonly known as Durand-line have got their IDENTITY. This name is a first step towards independence of Pashtuns from artificial clutches of neo-colonialists controlling present Pakistan. Now it is the responsibility of the Pashtun Intelligentsia to come forward in carving out the true identity of Pashtuns, as peace loving nation ready to contribute towards world peace, stability and harmony. We will have to get rid of the menace of extremism and terrorism. We will have to find our true friends and  identify our enemies. Economic development, job creation, modern education, rule of law and supremacy of our old traditions should be our main areas to work on for carving out a better future for our new generations. I have already advised my pashtun journalist brothers like Salim Safi not to beg for what is our basic right. We should never compromise on issues which are vital for Pashtun Nation. To offer the construction of Kala Bagh Dam in exchange for just a name which is our due right would have tantamount to nothing but a big treason. Thanks God, we have got our name without compromising on our basic vital interests.
